We have a setup where each site has it's own discovery profile which isn't exactly uncommon I'm sure. A huge amount of time could be saved if these profiles could be configured to automatically apply values to discovered nodes. Post/Zip codes could be automatically added, devices on a development network could be tagged as such etc etc.
As it stands currently you have to go through the process of discovering the nodes, adding them and then making changes. It makes sense from a management point of view to maximize the amount that can be done automatically. As it stands the Network Sonar is quite an under developed tool but there is a lot of potential there to reduce time spend on tedious tasks.
