We are in the process of implementing Patch Manager on a global rollout to all our 45 sites, worldwide. We have 3 hub sites with SAS and a central hub site with the PAS (& a SAS) and several WSUS servers (managing the 'Servers', 'Clients', and DMZ). Last month and then again this month, our beloved Microsoft has released a load of updates, some of which are quite large.
I have around 3500 clients connecting into the central hub site. I have an AutoApproval rule defined for Critical and Security updates. Problem we are seeing is that we are clogging up the MPLS connection to several of our smaller sites with all these downloads.
My question is this. Is it possible with Patch Manager to schedule the Automatic Approval of WSUS updates (and also 3rd party package updates)? And if so, how do I do that?
Any advice of suggestions would be very gratefully received.
