The log files generated by SolarWinds usually take up a lot of space on the drive. Also, these files could be deemed useless after some time (i.e. 3 months, 6 months???). Of course, we -- as SW administrators -- perform disk space clean up and remove log files which we deem as OK to be discarded. Still, this can be a bit cumbersome, since we have to check multiple SW folders (i.e. NPM, UDT, NTA, etc.). So, it would be even better if we just had to click a couple of boxes on the SW website which allowed this "log purge" to run automatically. Again, I prefer for this "new feature" to allow SW admins to decide how long they wish to keep the log files -- up to a year or so.
I would very much appreciate your comments on this subject -- and your vote too, of course.
