Database becoming full

Hi,

I have recently got a warning from SAM that the solarwinds database has become over 80% full, looking at the database tables it seems the table APM_PortEvidence_Detail is taking over 2GB of space.

My current solution is to truncate this table but was wondering if this is safe to do? And what would be the recommended way of truncating this table(Other than truncating with SQL, perhaps some setting in SAM)?

Also what data is this table storing?
