add SAM to NPM

we are currently using NPM and I would like to trial SAM.

My question is, will SAM be added to our existing NPM portal as "an add on module" or does it run under a separate portal on the same server as NPM?   Ideally I would like to see a single portal from wich all alerts and monitors can be observed and configured.
