For several years now my company had been using Cisco Pix Firewalls and we were easily able to collect snmp information from these devices. We then shifted away from the Pix and started using ASA's. Since that time, We have not been able to get communications up and running with between the Pix and ASA. Can someone give me a brief run down on what I need to do to get my ASA's communicating with Kiwi Syslog?
Presently in Kiwi I have a filter setup to talk to the internal interface on the ASA 192.168.x.x. I then have actions to log events setup, to display to monitor, as well as an archive schedule.
my event log shows the following message:
"Registered filter was found in settings and disabled"
my ASA has the following lines:
logging enable
logging buffer-size 20480
logging buffered informational
logging trap informational
logging history errors
logging queue 4096
logging host 192.168.x.100
Any help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
