I'm new to the Solarwinds community and have been tasked with setting up monitoring for our SAN. I'm not very familiar with SAN technology and I haven't found out how large our SAN is yet either. I've been assigned a test server and would like to install the correct application for the job. I was told to load Storage manager but when I went to download the software I found the RC for SRM. Now I'm not sure which one I should be loading. My understanding is that the RC versions are fully supported. So, which one do I go with? Do I install the latest version of STM or go with the newer RC SRM?
If anyone could help clarify what the difference is and why I would want to use one over the other, that'd be smashing.
Also, we are already using NPM and SAM so STM or SRM will only be used for SAN monitoring.
