I am currently evaluating SAM 6.0.1 and have come across an issue when monitoring a HYPER-V system using WMI polling. The machine in question is a Dell PowerEdge R720 with OpenManage 7.3 installed (latest). With WMI enabled SAM reports Hyper-V information and hardware health information (FIG1).
The issue is that if an error is simulated (power supply loosing power) an alert is not generated. Just shows that there is no DATA relating to the failed power supply (FIG2). Is there any method to have both types of information poll with a single network interface so both hardware alerts can be observed and alerted along with Hyper-V performance specs.
